Artist: Headjam
Album: Wizontic
Released: 2000
Headjam was a four-piece band based in South London, known for their original and individual mix of frantic dub beats spliced with metal, punk, and anything else that came to mind. The band often found it hard to describe their sound, leaving it up to listeners to define.
During their active years, Headjam mostly played the London party scene, performing alongside acts such as P.A.I.N, Inner Terrestrials, and the Reknaw system. They also appeared at benefit gigs and events like Reclaim the Future, RTS in Brixton High Street, and even in Stirling during the G8, always seeking to bring a bit of sanity and humanity to the shows.
The members of Headjam had previously played with Ring, Spanner (ex-Archaos), Radical Dance Faction, Less (London, England) (with former P.A.I.N and AOS3 members), Oi Polloi, and Ice Cream Men, among others.
