Japanese progenitor of sharp pure tone experimental guitar noise teams up with Hungarian drumming powerhouse for an album full of high level improvisational dialogue performance.

‘Become The Discovered, Not The Discoverer’ is an album by experimental trio Keiji Haino, Merzbow, and Balázs Pándi, whose fully improvised approach to noise, free jazz, and avant-garde rock.

The renowned Japanese electronic maestro Merzbow (aka Masami Akita) joins forces with his fellow countryman Keiji Haino and Hungarian drummer Balazs Pandi on another example of extreme sonic experimentation in the form of An Untroublesome Defencelessness.

Formed in 2016, Dope Purple channel influences from hard rock, noise and psychedelia with a particular emphasis on sounds from the Japanese underground, into a sweat-drenched, earsplitting, cosmic guitar explosion.
