“Noirabesque” is the debut album by The Thing With Five Eyes, a project Jason Köhnen (Bong-Ra, Celestial Season, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation, Mansur, Lovecraft Sextet, Wormskull, Voodoom, Servants of the Apocalyptic Goat Rave...) founded following the dissolution of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation. Released via Svart Lava, the album is a mutated blend of heavy electronic sub-bass, experimental dark ambient jazz, and Middle Eastern vocal elements performed by Leila Bounous - forming a cinematic mutation of Köhnen’s post-darkjazz vibe.
